I would not recommend hiring Elstein as your lawyer, the whole process was horrible dealing with Elstein and his assistant Damaris. Before he was hired he explained to me that he’s very upfront and honest about your situation but he is very rude and it’s like he doesn’t know how to talk to people. I wanted to switch lawyers but was to far in the case with him that I just let it play out. I didn’t even want to ask questions anymore about my case because of the way he answers you like you’re dumb for asking certain questions. Worst experience. I had a recommendation for surgery and had the date set but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and there was an offer on the table and he did a poor job giving me my options. I felt like I either had to take the last offer they gave me, or do the surgery.. it wasn’t til later after I’ve made my decision that I learned from another lawyer that I could of pushed my surgery date back to have more time to think about what I wanted to do . It got to a point where I reached out to another lawyer to ask for advice because asking Elstein was just frustrating and I felt like I would get into a back and forth with him if I did. He expects you to know the process even tho it’s your first time which is not right. Also his assistant Damaris was horrible and rude and was the same way because I’m sure she would just see how he was with customers and would just be the same way. When I would ask her questions she would pause for a few seconds and would answer slick and rude to me as if I was dumb for asking that question. She would even get frustrated in the emails with me for asking questions and answer back to me in ALL CAPS.. and when I told Elstein about the situation he just would say he wasn’t aware of that, when he was tagged in the emails which was not professional because you can clearly see the conversation, so no accountability.. I couldn’t understand why so many people would write great reviews about him and Damaris because I’m sure they went through the same thing. Then I realized how they have you do the reviews…they have you write the review in front of them while your signing to receive your check so you kind of feel like you just have to write a good review to get your check and be done with it.My sister went to him and also had the same issues as me with dealing with him we regretted it. Never again would I use Elstein or recommend him
