I regret to have to post this but I feel led to make sure people know what I experienced. I engaged this law firm for various legal services around 5 years ago but was disappointed when they overcharged me for work that I later found could have been done at a much lower cost (75% less and a flat fee) by several other firms. The lack of transparency in their pricing left me feeling taken advantage of, despite my prior confidence in their services and spending tens of thousands for my two companies, partnerships and trusts. I believe they took advantage of me when I needed a simple task to tighten a lose end I even had discovered myself that they should have handled up front. So I paid for incomplete work and then was overcharged when I discovered it and asked them to fix it. Furthermore, when I brought it to their attention they said “It seems you may just not be as familiar with how hourly billing works” after years as a client and in reality they were being paid to fix an omission in the initial work and this was the response. Unbelievable.
