I was promised regular updates on my case, but weeks—sometimes months—would go by without any word from the office. When I tried to get in touch for updates, I was constantly redirected to assistants or case managers who seemed uninformed about my situation. It felt like no one in the office had a clear understanding of where my case stood. The most troubling part of my experience was the financial side of things. After my case was settled, I discovered discrepancies in how the settlement funds were handled. Thousands of dollars were deducted for “fees” and “expenses” that were never clearly explained to me. When I asked for an itemized breakdown, I was given vague answers and incomplete documentation. It felt like they were intentionally trying to confuse me or hide something. Additionally, I later learned that much of the work on my case wasn’t even handled by an attorney but by non-lawyer staff members who lacked the qualifications to provide legal advice or negotiate settlements. This made me question whether my case was handled properly at all. What’s worse is that when I tried to address these concerns with the firm directly, I was met with dismissive attitudes and evasive responses. It became clear to me that they were more interested in maximizing their profits than in providing ethical and professional representation. Overall, I feel scammed and taken advantage of during a time when I needed help the most. Dealing with a personal injury is stressful enough without having to worry about whether your lawyer is acting in your best interest. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend E. Eric Guirard Injury Lawyer to anyone seeking honest and competent legal representation.
