At first, we got off to a misunderstanding. I decided not to file and had already paid the full retainer. I was under the impression this would be refunded. I was wrong - totally my own fault. Up front, I signed a document that explains the retainer fee is not refundable. Also explains if the attorney were charging by the hour, the total fee would be much higher. The "one price retainer' is actually a bargain! I understand that now and feel totally confident in Mr. DeLuca and his assistant, Miriam. Even though I was less than cordial (as I wasn't getting emails - not their fault, went to my spam), during the process of requesting a refund, they were very professional and pleasant back to me.
