I liked being able to text for information - I do not like to talk on the phone. It was easy setting up the consultation and I zoom met with Shannon and she was very nice, informative and even gave me cheaper avenues. Only spent 30 minutes and she refunded 1/2 of my fee. Lauren emailed all the forms within 24 hours. Everything was done in the timely manner that was quoted. I ended up going with someone else who was a friend of a friend and pennies less. Do they know case law and are they spending time thoroughly reviewing materials to help you? 2. Does your attorney truly listen to your needs and understand any constraints (financial, family, mental)? 3. Does your attorney understand when you need to be updated? (send summary updates when needed, because every communication is billed). 4. Is your attorney honest with you about pros and cons? No lawyer should ever make a guarantee about the outcome of a case. I was not aware of how difficult it was going to be for me to get divorced and I never thought that I was going to need a lawyer, after countless nights of research for the best law firm in Houston I decided to call Boudreaux | Hunter & Associates; I was greeted and helped by Lauren, her voice and hospitable demeanor made me feel so comfortable, she answered my initial 101 questions and helped me set up an initial appointment over the phone with Shannon, after a very short conversation I knew that they were "the ones" I needed by my side. For X&Y reasons a few months went by and finally set up an appointment in person to review the case; I was able to meet Shannon, Dena, and Lauren and the good "vibes" were definitely there. I received some paperwork to fill out, which I did the same day and they literally started the process the next day. After a few phone calls, countless of emails with all of my questions and concerns, and a few days that had to pass because that's how law works, I can finally say that I am divorced in the most fastest, painless and amicable way possible. I could have not chosen a better law firm to represent me and my interests. I would definitely recommend and use their services again. They are very professional, the communication was excellent. We lined up my request and I was given a realistic and accurate plan. My expectations were definitely managed well. The information I received was explained in terms that I could understand. I don’t know legal jargon, the system is still very foreign to me, which is why I felt that I needed an attorney. Never go into battle blind and unprepared. I was prepared and equipped. I’m extremely happy with the way my case was handled. 10/10
