Just got off the phone with Anita. Appointment was at 1:30 she called me back an hour later and her tone on the phone was so condescending. She told me to do a pretrial diversion because her retainer is 5k. I called through my company's EAP program to use my benefits. I called because I wanted legal help because I have never been in a situation like this. I was willing to pay whatever I needed but the way she brushed me off l had to come look at her reviews and see. I am going with someone else I spoke to prior than her that was very helpful in free consultation and has great reviews. I will also be spending 2k less. Anita I honestly wish you never called back. Me calling for a pretrial and poking my lip out to look sad in hopes they help me was not the 30 minute legal consolation I expected or very professional. Same day update after email sent from Anitra to me and I am assuming someone in EAP. I just received a very nasty email from Anitra saying that I resisted giving her documentation, that I was difficult, AND that I resisted her legal fees. I am completely baffled at this behavior from a EAP resource. None of those things are true. I wanted legal consultation and if reading my documents she knew she did not want to take the small case I would have respected that more. Money was never an issue. I just wanted to make sure my case was handled properly because I have never needed legal help before.
