White County, Illinois, lies near the borders of Indiana and Kentucky and is known for its rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. The county is mostly agricultural with corn and soybeans being the two primary crops grown there; additionally, it boasts several small towns like Carmi - the county seat - and Norris City which hosts an annual Fall Festival. White County, Indiana boasts the world's largest man-made arch bridge: New Harmony Bridge. Built-in 1930 and spanning the Wabash River between White County and neighboring Indiana, it originally served as a toll bridge but is now open to the public at no charge.
