In 2009, AISOL's founder had a vision of creating an online law school that would be distinguished by its unique technology and institutional spirit. The founder of AISOL realized that online law schools needed to be improved in tech, administration, and how instruction is done via independent study or online classes. He brought his business acumen and tech skills to help students get a remarkable program at a low cost. The founder repeatedly asked what would make us different. His answer was simple: provide a business-oriented curriculum and respect students. Hire quality professors who care about students. Provide a cost-effective program and invest in knowledge that will transform lives. To build a great team, the founder recruited Jeremy Miller (former Dean of Chapman University), an ABA Accredited law school to serve as Dean of AISOL. He also wanted to ensure that the education was comparable to other ABA Accredited schools. Both the founder and the Deantheyre determined to find quality professors after they had recruited the Dean. The Dean of AISOL was able to attract distinguished professors and faculty members. These included successful lawyers, judges, and commissioners. The program was delivered entirely online through chat sessions and online classes. The founder invested a lot of energy, time, and money in building a proprietary online system (AISOL Dashboard). This online system would provide exams, homework, and grades astheyll as announcements and faculty interaction. It took more than a year to perfect the system and it was finally launched in late 2010. He is not planning to stop there. Phase three will be a challenge to other online and law schools in order to improve their standards. AISOL applied to the State Bar of California in late 2010 and was registered as a Correspondence Law School with the State Bar of California in 2011.
