After researching family law attorneys and reading many reviews, I decided to schedule a consultation with Jason Wagner and I’m so glad I did! He was very patient, truly took the time to understand my situation, educate me on the court system, explain all the possible outcomes and discuss potential strategies. He really demonstrated that he is very knowledgeable, has a lot of experience and is very passionate about what he does. Facing the legal system can be very scary for those of us who don’t understand it and I left my meeting with Jason feeling knowledgeable, empowered and like I had a true advocate on my team. Finding a good family law attorney can be overwhelming but I can attest that Jason Wagner is one of the best!

We hired Jason Wagner of Wagner Family Law in February 2024 to mediate our divorce. Initially, Jason was personable, relatable, and thorough in explaining the process. He estimated the cost to be $4,000–$5,000, with a timeline to complete everything by April/May 2024. He also assured us we would receive detailed billing statements and that a broker expert would provide innovative solutions for removing me from a loan with my ex-wife’s son and daughter-in-law. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet these expectations. Despite having already divided our assets and debts amicably, the process dragged on. Jason insisted on bi-weekly meetings, which felt unnecessarily time-consuming, as he over-explained irrelevant details. His broker expert added little value, reiterating what we already knew, leading to avoidable charges. After we completed the required forms promptly, Jason stopped responding to emails. Communication resumed in the summer, but when we received the final forms, they were riddled with errors, despite our initial submissions being accurate. This required additional review and corrections, consuming our time. Despite our repeated requests to finalize the divorce in 2024 for tax and health insurance reasons, the process wasn’t submitted to the courts until late October. The divorce was finalized in November with a January 2025 effective date. As of now, I’m unclear if I’ve received the final decree, as Jason stopped responding again and failed to provide consistent, detailed billing statements as promised. Overall, Jason over-promised and under-delivered, creating financial and logistical challenges during an already difficult time. While my ex-wife and I were able to navigate this amicably, had our situation been less cooperative, the delays and poor communication would have compounded the stress. I would not recommend Jason Wagner for mediation services based on this experience.

Had Jason as my mediator and he is a really chill guy. He made it so our sessions had like no tension, explained everything in detail and carries you through the process step by step so you will not miss anything. Also, he was really fair during the process and I was happy about that because I have heard a lot of stories about mediators that tend to favor one side over the other but in this situation both sides came out feeling like the process ended on fair terms. The divorce ended with no bad blood between my partner and I, which I am very grateful for. Would def recommend him if your trying to have a low stress divorce.
