I was involved in a week long trial with some serious charges. 3 felonies and a lesser charge. Someone tried to kill me and I had to defend myself. The other person got hurt badly. I had to do what I did to even be typing this right now. Karen Vaughn went over all the evidence with a fine tooth comb. She had pages of notes from studying all of the police body cam footage from each officer that responded to the call. She found many many holes in the charges I was facing. She did great in Jury selection, logically dismissing potential jurors that may be bias in my case. This was some movie worthy attorney work in cross-examination of the person who was lying. The assistant D.A. and police were trying to send me up the creek for years and years and years based on Lies and half truths of the evidence against me. Side note: The police would have shot and killed this person if they witnessed the attack on me. (Attack with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill.) Karen helped me avoid the 3 felonies and any long prison time. It would have ruined my life and my handicapped brother who is in my care would have went to a home. I can't thank her enough. I was lucky to be appointed her as my lawyer. "Court appointed". I'm going to end this with a post I made on FB about Karen Vaughn mid trial. ((My lawyer is an absolute great person who has impressed me so very much with her wit, intelligence, follow through, dedication, and work ethic. Her being a lawyer absolutely makes the world a better place.))
