He’s was great till I paid him to actually represent me! Then I could never reach him on the phone he kept wanting me to talk to his assistant a woman named spring. He was even late for my court hearing. I paid him a lot of money to do basically nothing in my opinion! He wouldn’t try in negotiate beyond what he he wanted to!! I do not recommend him at all!!

He will never respond or return calls.all he do is hide behind his secretary. Wish I would have never gotten him at all! Once he get your money you will not hear from him

Before you decide to hire him, please review the multiple complaints with the Virginia State Bar that he has received disciplinary action for. Countless violations! Highly recommended to find someone else to serve your legal needs. By far the worst Attorney based on communication, transparency, punctuality and competence. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable attorney that will fight for you and not against you.

Jones called me after seeing my post… safe to say he wasn’t pleased. But I did post without some context. I had a review and I posted it in anger and frustration… I think a lot of people do that. So I spoke to my husband—his client, and then changed my review. My husband, (Veteran, troubled past, never any serious issues with the law before, and first time offense) had been charged with a serious felony in June 2022. This was a new and anxiety ridden experience. Jones was referred to me by his colleague. Initially he presents as ‘ready to go and fight for his client,’ but money as is for most attorneys… his first priority. After you pay, he's in the wind. The only praise deserved is for the results of my husbands case. It could have been worse without retaining, but all things considered, Jones still could have done more. That’s based on me being educated, having common sense and the ability to do basic research about the charge in question. I’m not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination, and wasn’t given access to case details. But in no way shape or form is it okay for an attorney to imply issues of fault or guilt toward the client they are defending when they are constantly invoking attorney/client privilege limits. That being said…Folks, do your research, go to the Bar association website and check credentials before you retain a lawyer and GET A CONTRACT BEFORE YOU RETAIN. So here’s a list: Pros: -Reduced sentencing on a felony charge -Reasonable price Cons: - client must pay first to get Jones to do the initial interview. I spoke with others who were willing to sit down for free just to talk and get a feel for everything with the client... not Jones. - took too long to get a contract -Very Poor communication -Doesn’t respond to “routine questions” —according to his paralegal - schedules for meetings and calls and misses them with no follow-up or explanation - ignores calls and correspondence - doesn’t do meet with client before court appearances or after so that the client is well informed and is understanding the process. -inconsistent updates on case related information/details. -no accountability for the lack of communication when questioned/called on it. - simply does not adhere to his own word when it comes to keeping the client informed/ up to date. In short, My husband wasn’t a priority. Jones spent a lot of time trying to cover his butt explaining things to me that he should’ve been communicating to my husband/client about. I shouldn’t have been nearly as involved or begging trying to get him to communicate effectively with my husband. This was all a shot in the dark process. It’s clear that his goal is to get results, but don’t be fooled, he’s not an attorney with genuine interpersonal skills or that cares about the client being well informed on the case. Make sure you have a baseline understanding of what you are in for and the potential outcomes. As a paying client you pay for the service you get so you have a right to choose if you want someone who cares or someone who’s just doing their job… or both. Ask him up front what to expect with him so you’re prepared to make the best decision possible before going through the full process with Jones. Update 2024: the more reviews I see, the more I wish I left my original post. He is a liar and a swindler and our family has suffered the consequences for his poor representation. If I could Id put zero stars...do not recommend. At all. Wouldnt be surprised if the positive revews were fake.
