I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Josh Horton. He took $1,400, promising he would win a legal case against a solar company, but after taking the money, he ignored calls and left us in the dark. Then, to make matters worse, he lost the case. What’s even more unbelievable is that he actually suggested we look at the company’s reviews—as if that was supposed to help us! If he had put as much effort into our case as he did into dodging calls, maybe the outcome would have been different. Absolutely do not recommend. Save your time, money, and frustration.

Beware – Unprofessional and Unreliable I paid Josh Horton $900, trusting him to handle a legal case against a solar company. He assured me we had a strong case and made big promises, but after taking the money, he stopped responding to calls and messages. When he finally did, it was clear he hadn’t put in the effort—and unsurprisingly, he lost the case. To top it off, he actually suggested we check out the solar company’s reviews—as if that was supposed to help us in any way. Completely unprofessional and a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I contacted his office regarding a potential law suit against a solar panel company. His secretary and a wife-to-be at that time convinced me that Mr. Horton would be able to help me but I would need a paid consultation. Scheduled. During the consultation I was told to send a retainer check in order to proceed. Done. After that no emails were returned by him, only his secretary texted back three days later to answer my question. Two weeks later Mr.Horton scheduled a video call during which I was bombarded by legal terms (not being in a legal field I felt very confused), and it was rubbed into my face that his “fee is $500 an hour”. To make a long story short, I was advised to pay $10,000 in order for him to “move forward “. That was totally unexpected on my end. (The whole loan I was going to challenge was only 50 K some of which was already paid.) I asked Josh what the retainer check covered, and the answer was quite shocking: to contact the company!!! Seeing me upset, Mr. Horton promised to contact me with some news/progress in about a month. It was in February. It’s June now. I accepted that this charismatic, convincing and “professional “ attorney dumped me and ghosted on me. Apart from that he gave me a lot of nonsensical “assignments “ to contact credit score companies… and file complaints with other agencies which was done way before I contacted him, and led me nowhere). I moved on, accepted my failure to go after the solar panel company that tricked me into signing a contract using deceptive sales tactics, and I also accepted the fact that lawyers can be as tricky and deceptive as sales agents. There was a reason why a dozen of honest lawyers told be without a paid consultation that I had no case. My mother was involved with a solar company that coerced her to sign a contract that was misleading and ultimately would have cost her thousands of dollars. We attempted on our own to contact the company and have them cancel the contract but they kept toying with us and sending us to different departments that ultimately led to nothing. As a result we contacted Joshua Horton law in the hopes that the company would void the contract and free my mother of this financial scam. Of course after hiring Joshua’s firm, the representatives of the solar company started to take us more seriously. They tried to throw pathetic offers at my mother in hopes that she would continue with the faulty contract but eventually they agreed to annul the contract and deliver my mom from the financial toll this long term contract would of caused. I am thankful for Joshua and his team. He was professional and explained to us in good details what to expect and the possible risks. I can tell he is very passionate about his job and is aggravated towards solar companies and how they take advantage of some people. He is well informed and experienced in these matters.
