Vince and his staff at the Jamison Firm are such a helpful classy bunch! We have used the firm for our estate planning and have had recommended multiple friends to do the same, all telling me about the amazing experience they had as well. Vince really takes his time to ask really good questions and explain the entire estate planning process. After our first meeting I knew we were in good hands and that he truly cares for his clients. His staff is fun and friendly as well, you can tell they have a great culture over there. Thank you Vince and Makayla! You guys made a process that I felt intimidated by such an easy and enjoyable experience.

This review is about our estate planning experience and creating a trust with Mr. Jamison. A friend of mine recommended Mr. Jamison when I asked who is best for estate planning for my grandfather. When I called they were very pleasant and he came to the care home where my grandfather was at, at that time. Once my grandfather came back home we met with him again to officially look over everything. Throughout the whole process not only was he professional, but he was also personable. He was very kind and caring with my grandfather, including the rest of his staff. When we came in a second time to make some changes the staff was very accommodating for my grandfather who is wheelchair bound. I appreciate the Jamison firm because it isn't about just business, but getting to know you and answering each question thoroughly. It helps me feel better so I am aware when the time does come and they gave my grandpa relief and the confidence to know everything will be well taken care of. My husband and I plan to go back to Mr. Jamison for our trust as well. Thank you!

I would highly recommend Vince's leadership & legal capabilities to any small business owner that needs legal advice or entity formation services. Vince and his team at The Jamison Firm will have your back and lead you through the challenging and complicated process of forming a new entity or updating your current small business entity. I have referred a lot of my clients over to the Jamison Firm over the years and Vince has done an excellent job for our clients.

I have known Vince for years, prior to him beginning his practice. I knew right he would do very well, when I heard he began his own practice. My wife and I called his office and scheduled a time to chat. Vince is not only knowledgable in what he does but also has fantastic people skills to communicate what would be best for you. I thought the prices would be expensive, however they are more affordable than expected.

AAL general personal injury Frequently Asked Questions

What is personal injury law?

Personal injury law encompasses legal remedies and defenses involved in civil lawsuits brought as a result of wrongful conduct. It covers situations where someone's negligence or intentional actions cause harm to another person. Personal injury law allows injured individuals to seek compensation for their losses, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. This area of law often involves cases such as car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and defective product injuries.

What is compensation for a personal injury claim?

Compensation for a personal injury claim typically includes monetary damages intended to compensate the injured party for their losses. This compensation can cover various aspects such as medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost wages or income, property damage, and pain and suffering. The goal is to provide financial relief to the injured person and help them recover from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of their injuries.

Is emotional distress a personal injury?

Emotional distress can be considered a personal injury under certain circumstances. In legal terms, emotional distress refers to the psychological impact of an injury or traumatic event, such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). While it may not always involve physical harm, emotional distress can still be compensable in a personal injury claim if it can be linked to the defendant's actions or negligence.

What percentage do most personal injury lawyers take?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, which means they only get paid if they successfully recover compensation for their clients. Typically, personal injury lawyers take a percentage of the final settlement or court award as their fee. The percentage varies but commonly ranges from 33% to 40% of the total recovery. This arrangement allows injured individuals to pursue legal action without upfront costs and ensures that attorneys are motivated to achieve favorable outcomes for their clients.

How long does a personal injury lawsuit take?

The duration of a personal injury lawsuit can vary significantly depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the extent of the injuries, and the court's schedule. Some cases may be resolved through settlement negotiations relatively quickly, while others may take months or even years to reach a resolution, especially if they go to trial. Additionally, factors such as gathering evidence, conducting discovery, and waiting for medical treatment to conclude can influence the timeline of a personal injury lawsuit.

What is an example of a serious injury claim?

An example of a serious injury claim could involve catastrophic injuries that result in long-term or permanent disabilities, such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries leading to paralysis, severe burns, or limb amputations. These types of injuries often have significant and lasting effects on the victim's physical, emotional, and financial well-being, requiring extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing care. Serious injury claims typically seek substantial compensation to cover these extensive damages and provide for the victim's future needs.

What is compensation for a loss or injury?

Compensation for a loss or injury refers to the financial recovery awarded to an injured party in a legal proceeding. This compensation aims to restore the injured person to the position they were in before the injury occurred to the extent possible. It can include economic damages, such as medical expenses and lost wages, as well as non-economic damages for pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. The goal of compensation is to help the injured individual recover physically, emotionally, and financially from the consequences of their injury.

What is the highest personal injury settlement?

The highest personal injury settlement or verdict can vary greatly depending on the specific circumstances of the case, including the severity of the injuries, the extent of the damages, and the jurisdiction where the case is tried. Settlements and verdicts in personal injury cases have reached into the tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in some instances, particularly in cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, or wrongful death. However, there is no fixed limit on the amount of compensation that can be awarded in a personal injury case, as each case is evaluated based on its unique factors and the applicable laws and precedents.
