Our family has a straight forward (no will) not contested estate. The proceeds have been held in 'escrow' since June 2021. Final court date on 11/12 all approved. We knew this for almost a year.

We are still waiting for thier accountant to cut checks...and now December and still waiting.

Get an additional accountant if your that backed up .This is $$$ that our family needs and needs now.

We went to Solomon's firm with a relatively straight forward estate matter based on a recommendation. We were told they are "like a nuclear bomb" in terms of their direct, strong approach to estate litigation.

However, this was far from what was delivered. They were disorganized, slow to perform, and not diligent in checking the laws/facts. For instance, we spent $1000+ listening to them go back and forth about the relevance over a signature on a particular document.

As it turns out, our current lawyer (who is amazing) sent us the law immediately and it was a non-issue. I'm sure there are good lawyers within the firm, however, we would NOT recommend Ross Evans or Mark Solomon. Note: I'm sure Mark is great when he is diligent or back at the height of his career. Neither of the former applied to our experience.

We have been with our current lawyer now for 3 weeks and the matter is resolved. We were with Solomon's firm for 3 weeks and made no progress and only incurred lawyers fees.

I just recently fired Mark Solomon and his law firm. They have been representing me in a IRS trust issue for 5 years and related issues. He has billed around $100,000 and and I currently do not final resolution of these issues. Chaos continues in my personal life because this is not resolved and I do not think he or his firm really understands that. He is a nice guy and very smart, but it seems like this might never get solved without a change.
Since I fired him, I represented myself with the IRS and settled the case myself in November 2018 - Yeah for Me for settling the IRS.

I would highly recommend this firm! There is a significant personal approach to their firm that I find very comforting to my clients and their families...which is exactly how it should be. The counsel received is focused on the needs of the client, which is not always the case with other law firms in my experience. What a comfort to know that this is a law firm with integrity and the ability to communicate simply.
