Ben Sansone answered all of my questions and took on my case without any hesitation. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. He cares about his clients. He tells you what he thinks is best for your case and I greatly appreciate that. I would hire h all over again , if I needed, too. He gets back with you in a timely manner, which is great, too. I would greatly recommend him if anybody has any type of injury or just in general for any type of case.

I sadly loss my 17 year old son, and i chose this particular law firm because Ben was the only lawyer i spoke with who actually showed concern as to how i felt in such a horrible situation. I didn’t feel like another number of people he represented. He made me feel comfortable while so broken, he listened to me and you can hear the compassion while speaking. No parent deserves to have to go through this, but know if you hire is firm u won’t just get a lawyer u will get a compassionate man who will keep you updated every step of the way. Even after the case was over i was still able to call and get any questions answered that later crossed my mind, i never felt rushed even when i didn’t have the right words to say. My grief brain has been terrible but he never made me feel like i was a bother I highly recommend

The day I was referred to Mr. Sansone was quiet possibly one of the very best days of my life. I was in a severe car accident that caused me to be permanently disabled. It was a company truck that hit me and they literally tried every trick in the book to avoid responsibility. However, they were not ready for Mr. Sansone. No matter what they threw at us, he had a solid comeback! He is not a good attorney. HE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY ATTORNEY. As a former special education teacher I feel qualified in saying he is gifted not just intellectually but also socially. He stands strong for his clients, but treats us with so much care and concern. His office staff was just as on point. I'm honored to have been represented by Mr. Sansone and his firm and blessed to have the opportunity to know such a person. Thanks to him and his firm I got a settlement I was extremely happy with. I can NEVER thank him enough. If you are unfortunate enough to need an attorney, be fortunate enough to choose a five star team to have on your side!!! Mr. Sansone and his firm should be your only option if you want the very best!!!

AAL general personal injury Frequently Asked Questions

What is personal injury law?

Personal injury law encompasses legal remedies and defenses involved in civil lawsuits brought as a result of wrongful conduct. It covers situations where someone's negligence or intentional actions cause harm to another person. Personal injury law allows injured individuals to seek compensation for their losses, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. This area of law often involves cases such as car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and defective product injuries.

What is compensation for a personal injury claim?

Compensation for a personal injury claim typically includes monetary damages intended to compensate the injured party for their losses. This compensation can cover various aspects such as medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost wages or income, property damage, and pain and suffering. The goal is to provide financial relief to the injured person and help them recover from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of their injuries.

Is emotional distress a personal injury?

Emotional distress can be considered a personal injury under certain circumstances. In legal terms, emotional distress refers to the psychological impact of an injury or traumatic event, such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). While it may not always involve physical harm, emotional distress can still be compensable in a personal injury claim if it can be linked to the defendant's actions or negligence.

What percentage do most personal injury lawyers take?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, which means they only get paid if they successfully recover compensation for their clients. Typically, personal injury lawyers take a percentage of the final settlement or court award as their fee. The percentage varies but commonly ranges from 33% to 40% of the total recovery. This arrangement allows injured individuals to pursue legal action without upfront costs and ensures that attorneys are motivated to achieve favorable outcomes for their clients.

How long does a personal injury lawsuit take?

The duration of a personal injury lawsuit can vary significantly depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the extent of the injuries, and the court's schedule. Some cases may be resolved through settlement negotiations relatively quickly, while others may take months or even years to reach a resolution, especially if they go to trial. Additionally, factors such as gathering evidence, conducting discovery, and waiting for medical treatment to conclude can influence the timeline of a personal injury lawsuit.

What is an example of a serious injury claim?

An example of a serious injury claim could involve catastrophic injuries that result in long-term or permanent disabilities, such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries leading to paralysis, severe burns, or limb amputations. These types of injuries often have significant and lasting effects on the victim's physical, emotional, and financial well-being, requiring extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing care. Serious injury claims typically seek substantial compensation to cover these extensive damages and provide for the victim's future needs.

What is compensation for a loss or injury?

Compensation for a loss or injury refers to the financial recovery awarded to an injured party in a legal proceeding. This compensation aims to restore the injured person to the position they were in before the injury occurred to the extent possible. It can include economic damages, such as medical expenses and lost wages, as well as non-economic damages for pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. The goal of compensation is to help the injured individual recover physically, emotionally, and financially from the consequences of their injury.

What is the highest personal injury settlement?

The highest personal injury settlement or verdict can vary greatly depending on the specific circumstances of the case, including the severity of the injuries, the extent of the damages, and the jurisdiction where the case is tried. Settlements and verdicts in personal injury cases have reached into the tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in some instances, particularly in cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, or wrongful death. However, there is no fixed limit on the amount of compensation that can be awarded in a personal injury case, as each case is evaluated based on its unique factors and the applicable laws and precedents.
