My family and I initially sought out Attorney Roger Compton based on his past awards and positive reviews for our chaotic custody case. but unfortunately, those accolades seem to be from over a decade ago and do not reflect his current practice. My experience with him has been nothing short of disappointing. For the past two years, Attorney Compton has been handling a case that is very dear to me. Despite our trust in his abilities, we quickly learned that his approach was both unprofessional and lackadaisical. We had to personally go to the court to secure a court date because his office requested an unreasonably long time frame, one that any judge would find impossible to accommodate. When we finally got to court, it became glaringly obvious that Attorney Compton was unprepared and late to the first hearing. The judge even pulled him into her chambers to discuss the situation privately and emphasized that we should come fully prepared. She dedicated an entire day to our custody case, recognizing its importance—a commitment that our attorney did not mirror. For an attorney whose reviews as well as his office state that they handle custody cases that is not what we felt in the courtroom. Following this incident, communication with Attorney Compton became sporadic and unprofessional. To make matters worse, just one week before our next court hearing, he informed us that we needed to pay an additional $2,500. This fee increase came with no warning, and we were given no clear explanation for the sudden hike. To add insult to injury, our court date hearing changed to the day before the originally scheduled time, Compton never informed us, his clients. Yes we have it all documented and recorded. Due to his lack of professionalism, As a result, we were not present at the hearing due to this intentional oversight by our own attorney. In summary, if you are looking for an attorney who will add unnecessary stress and complications to an already challenging situation, Roger Compton is your man. However, if you want an attorney who is competent, communicative, and truly professional, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. My experience has been overwhelmingly negative, and I would hate for anyone else to endure the same.

I greatly appreciate Mr. Compton. I hired him to handle my divorce. Being out of state I was worried with how difficult it could have been but Mr. Compton and his team were prompt and had a great line of open communication and realness of the situation and everything was smooth. I highly recommend working with him.

Do not I repeat do not get Roger Compton as a lawyer none of the judges like him so do not go with this guy I repeat if the judges do not like lawyers it’s very hard to win a case go elsewhere please trust me go elsewhere
