My son was shot and killed by an Englewood police office. Note: he was an innocent bystander. They took the case initially, however after several months turning into years they decided it was not worth fighting for as the officer was found justified. Maybe if he were a kid of color something would of happened. By the time they dropped the case, there was not sufficient time to obtain another firm within the two year filing requirement. So the officer gets to kill an innocent young man and continue to go about his daily life. How terribly discouraging.
