In September of 1999 I was in South Dakota picking up a load of rolled plastic that is used to make your dark colored trash bags with. Since I am a flatbed driver the load had to be tarped, not only to protect the load, but also for safety. While trying to climb onto the top of the load to spread the tarps I lost my footing and slipped from the top of the load. A distance of about 10 to 12 feet. The result was that I broke my wrist in 4 places and had to have surgery to put it back together again. My case took a very long 14 years from beginning to end and I credit Marty so much for helping me to hang in there. There were a couple of times I was so tired of the fight that I thought about giving up and giving in to one or two of the offers along the way. But Marty convinced me to hang in there because he was sure he could get better for me and he was right. He could not have been more accommodating and courteous in explaining and navigating all the different twists and turns we were forced to make along the way by the insurance company. I am so glad I listened to him and didn't settle my case earlier.
