I got a phone call one day letting me know that my father was found deceased in his car in a parking lot in Nevada. I was his only child and I had been estranged from him for a few years and to top it off, I live in Southern California. He didn’t have much, but he had a mobile home and enough money in the bank that the only way I could take possession of it, according to the State of Nevada, was through probate court. I obviously wasn’t the beneficiary but I am his sole heir. Doesn’t matter in NV. I reached out to Lee Kiefer and Park after reaching out to 2 other lawyers. One called me back. He was “nice” but seemed very rushed and seemed like he was bothered by me asking so many questions. The other lawyer never returned my call. When I called LKP, I spoke to a nice person who said she would have someone call me back. I was beside myself at the time just trying to figure out what to do with my dad’s property knowing I had this probate thing hanging over me. Devin Earl called me back and was so understanding and answered all my questions…l felt as if I was in the right hands. He explained everything in a way that I completely understood, and I knew what steps were needed to close out my father’s “estate”. Other than the time it took for all of the asset gathering (for lack of better phrase) for the probate proceedings, it was a breeze to work with Devin and this team. He made it very easy and I was able to do everything by email. I also just got my share of my father’s estate. It took about 10months total. Thanks to all involved.
