My husband juan carlos Gonzalez recently was working with Mark and things didn't turn out so good..I feel Mark could have found a better solution than to just walk out. All juan was asking for was to push a little harder on the case so we had a better outcome. He feels like he was abandoned in this hard time and situation..he could also use a Spanish speaking translator so he can fluently work with all types of people that seek his help. Sucks this turned out this way. We never received bills for what he's saying he's work and what he's trying to put a lein on my husband. He feels like he was attacked by piranha sucked all his money away and when he asked for results he just walked out and said hey you owe me this now and here's a lein for you. But those that feel robbed and abandoned your not alone. Florida bar exist where you can complain in response to a case. Lawyers need ethics good day to all

My name is Juan carlos Gonzalez. In February of this year 2024 I made the decision to hire this lawyer so he would defend me for a child support modification that my ex wife put against me. In the 1st zoom meeting the lawyer was super mellow super professional and even seemed that he identified himself with my case. My ex wanted to give Me custody of my youngest child and charge me child support for the older one that is living with her. To him it looked weird that a mother would give up custody of a child. In that moment he says that he was only charging me the littlest retainer of the whole state of Florida. And charges me $2000 retainers and other charges like parking for court ect. Fees that have never been used, never been to court and every meeting including mediation was done by zoom. Like everything now a days. He said some cases get harder that to think that for example we are going to take a trip to New York and that maybe in that trip we need to stop and put gas until we get to new york. Wanting to tell me with this story that maybe we are going to have to pay a little more if the case gets harder. I said ok no problem and after that the bills started coming that for this for that for this and that and his work I've seen Nothing I haven't heard much from him only a few days before the mediation that he called to tell me if we weren't going to change the date of the mediation and to please pay something that it was almost a month without paying with my economical situation. We went to Mediation which lasted 4 hours or more and had to pay $500 more and at the end there was no agreement. After the mediation I receive an email from the lawyer letting me know that to go to trial it was going to cost 5k or 5,500 or a little more just for retainer and apart from that a forensic accountant and he had already found one for $3500 the accountant the lowest in the state he says. And that he talks Spanish because Spanish is my 1st language. And this lawyer charges so much yet cant hire anyone that can talk to his clients in Spanish. My wife now for free she would translate everything between us when I receive this last email now I tell him ok can we do a payment plan? I was thinking of talking to friends family that would help me pay him. Things that my family helped me with. Once a month they were going to help me pay this lawyer. Like in any case where you are innocent like in my case I wanted to fight until the end but for this lawyer mark I'm not innocent he made me feel like I was a liar a bad person all the time had to hear him out and he wouldn't listen to the whole story between me and my ex. He then send an email that he can't do me a payment plan had to pay what I owed him before the trail and pay it right away. I just got off a zoom meeting with Mark and once again I felt attacked by him. He thinks he's perfect and he says he doesn't like to loose not even playing checkers with his kids. I mentioned to him again about helping me with a payment plan he says how can I work as a barber and pay him $1000 a month. When I asked him what work he had done until now he got bothered and said this way we can't keep working together and I would have to find another lawyer. I want to let you guys know once again the saying that goes the cheaper something is the worse it is. I feel lied to and abandoned in this legal process where I'm sure I'm going to win. Not being enough with this situation he said he was going to sue me to make me feel worse. Don't be lied to I am doing this so others especially those that speak Spanish don't hire this guy.
