Mr. Pasternak has better customer service skills than some attorneys. He prefaced the call saying he is a direct communicator for efficiency and told me he cant take my case. He spent time to explain to me why he is unable to take my case and answered my questions about how to handle disability harassment and my ADA accommodation request to my employer. I appreciate his calm demeanor and he was not annoyed when i interrupted with questions. I feel more confident in how to handle my issue because he took the time to inform me of my rights and the law.

I contacted Jeremy in April of 2022. I had just been put through hell at my job of 20 years. This started when I returned to Stanford Hospital from bereavement leave after losing my son. They did everything they could to get me to quit. Age discrimination, called racial slurs, and had my disability accommodations denied after having them for 15 years. I have all the proof in the form of emails and many witness to the harassment and slander. Jeremy seemed a little shocked at everything they were doing and gave advice on my next moves, which were uncomfortable for me but I trusted him and followed his advice. The very next day one of my coworkers also called him about a case and he immediately told her that she didn’t have a case. Sometimes he was very response and gave me my next steps and other times I wouldn’t hear from him for weeks and I’d have to remind him who I was and what my case was about. I was very concerned and starting to get frustrated, because I know there is a statute of limitations. Just after 6 months of this back and forth, I told him that I wanted to move forward and get this going. His response was that he didn’t think he could fight and win my case. I was stunned! Why would he drag this out for so long? He basically wasted 6 1/2 months of my time limit. It was rough grieving my son and dealing with everything’s else. I really wish I hadn’t called him. He could of told me at the beginning that he wouldn’t take my case.. I’ve had people comment stating that he must of known someone at Stanford. I went on to hire another attorney who just forgot to file my case with the courts. My time is up and I’ve lost the case. His lack of care or concern for my case should be a warning to others

I contacted Jeremy Pasternak on the strong recommendation of a friend and in retrospect, wish I would have done so right when my employment issue began. Within five minutes of our initial consultation, I knew he was the lawyer I needed. His manner is definitely direct and may be a little intimidating to some people. He has an intelligent, quick-fire approach to extracting the important details and then advising whether he can help or not. I appreciated his honest assessment as I was not interested in wasting his time or mine. After reviewing some documents, he called me and advised a wait-and-see approach. He asked me to call him the next time I heard from my employer. Several months went by before I needed his help and true to his word, he stepped back into my situation without hesitation. He arranged another telephone appointment with me on very short notice, to counsel me on some time-sensitive correspondence. We exchanged multiple emails where he laid out the steps he wanted me to take . I followed his advice exactly and he produced a miracle for me. In the end, I did not need to hire him and yet he declined any compensation for the time he spent on my case. If you need an employment lawyer, I would recommend Jeremy without hesitation. He is knowledgeable, kind, passionate, assertive and truly wants to help his clients. I had no doubt in his ability to successfully represent me, if a lawsuit had been necessary. Knowing he was on my side brought me incredible peace of mind during a very stressful time.
