I initially contacted Mr. Marle about handling a family law matter for me. He responded quickly and we chatted on the phone (free of charge) for a few minutes about the case. After speaking to some other attorneys I decided to retain Mr. Marle. I called his office on a Friday and spoke with his assistant, she was very nice. It was late in the day so we decided to finish our transaction Monday and she took down my number and said she would be calling me Monday. 5pm Came and no call. I called the office to inquire why she hadn't called me back and she stated she lost my information and just forgot. I said ok and ended the call stating I would not be hiring them. She complained during the call that her desk was a mess and she couldn't find my information. I then reached out to Mr. Marle and let him know what happened and all he had to say was "sorry you feel that way, his luck with your case." Didn't even bother to call ( or even proofread his text apparently) to straighten things out. He blamed me on the phone for not calling. He went on to state how busy they are and made more excuses. Let me tell you something, when you hire an attorney, his staff are just as important as the attorney themselves. Missing deadlines, forgetting to do things, being disorganized, and having staff that even remember to return phone calls is a big problem when hiring a law office. Motions have to be filed on time, court dates need to be attended and remembered, and things need to be done in a timely fashion to avoid problems. It is apparent that Mr. Marle's office is disorganized and not running well. This will reflect poorly on your case, trust me. If you want an attorney who will do what they say they're going to. HIRE SOMEONE ELSE! Things happen and I gave him the chance to fix it but he could not have cared any less. I told him I was going to write this review and he then threatened to sue me. The lower price you pay for him to take your case is absolutely not worth it. As nice as the office girl was she either needs help in the office because of the case load or needs another person to assist her. He does offer a military discount and he reached out to me quickly but those were the only two positives aside from the office girl being nice, forgetful and disorganized, but nice. Would absolutely find someone else if you want your case to be taken seriously.

I can’t even express how much I appreciate this man and his firm. I went to his office crying because I didn’t understand my divorce decree and no other lawyer would talk to me unless I had an appointment, consultation and money up front for their time. He talked to me up front, immediately, told me how it was and what to do. I used him for my custody agreement and it was the best money I’ve ever spent. You grow to appreciate his communication style, he’s very direct but will prioritize you. He was informative about every factor of my argument and always presented resolutions in the best interest of my children and I. My custody case did not end up needing to move forward however he handled the entire withdrawing process without question

Simon Marle is a great attorney. He is honest and will tell you exactly where you stand. He is very knowledgeable on family law, DWI, and criminal matters. I have referred many friends to him and they were all very happy with the service and outcome. His prices are the most reasonable that I have had in Virginia.

I cannot possibly have enough amazing things to say about Simon Marle and his entire staff. It’s not only about the lawyer, but the support and staff behind it for me. I called Simon’s office one night, over a year ago in desperation of where to turn and what to do. If you are not a lawyer, and you are involved in any kind of legal case, things can be very overwhelming and knowing what steps to take can be tricky. I called around 6pm and Simon Marle, himself answered the front desk phone. I was very thrown off, because typically lawyer/attorneys will not handle those kinds of matters. He gave me a free consultation about 20-25 minutes on my case. Was VERY straightforward, honest, and to the point. I put my trust in him, and I have NOT been disappointed in any way. His staff, Taylor, Samantha, and Lisa truly care about the clients and really spend their time being personal with you. I love that they address me by name and not by “client”. Samantha has bent over backwards to contact other parties for me and you can tell she put’s her time into her job. She is always on top of it, super respectful and goes above and beyond. Not one time, have I been brushed off or felt like I was being annoying or I have been to well over 5-7 court hearings with Simon. Each time we have gone, it has been a complete satisfactory outcome IF not more. Simon has always been a very caring and honest man. It is really hard to find people now that do not take advantage, or who really just do not spend time with your case. He personally will pull out a file and go line by line with you and explain and questions, details you may have missed or anything you do not understand. I think for me, the best is that it runs as a family unit, and when you are dealing with family courts/judicial issues, having the same mindset in your company, reflects when the clients are in person. He is affordable and I am so very grateful that I decided to go with him. I recommend him to ANY and all my friends and family who ask for recommendations. Simon has had experience in this for decades, and you can tell because his presence in court is respected very much not only by the judges and the staff but also by the other attorneys. Anyone I have ever asked in regards to him, has had nothing but positive things to say. He will not let you be stepped on in court, and he puts time and effort into every case he has. I can see that he is passionate about his career and what he does for people. Simon has been a major influence and change in my families life and we will forever be thankful for him and his entire staff.
