We hired Seth to initiate what would later become a contested matrimonial case in Westchester, New York. There were a number of complexities involved considering the age of the marriage (30+ years) and more importantly a very adversarial party on the other side. Another issue we encountered was the overall process in the county court. Unlike most others, this Court requires mediation for an extensive amount of time before putting the matter on the trial calendar. Seth filed numerous motions in order to get the case before a Judge and ardently argued each one obtaining positive results on almost every one. Knowing the limits of our financial capabilities, he did not demand additional fees nor did he pressure us. Yet, he worked incredibly hard and was sure to attend every one of the 20+ Court appearances regardless of his heavy caseload. Not only did he attend every appearance for 4 years, appear and facilitate all communication throughout and after mediation, and file winning motions, but he also did a trial during which he skillfully cross-examined the opposing party. Ultimately, the decision after trial was in our favor and the Court ruled that we were entitled to everything we asked for. Seth is the most caring, honest, and passionate attorney I’ve ever met. Seth is a nice and very hardworking attorney while it may seem like pros in legal representation these are not benefits. Seth represented me in family trial as naive nervous young adult I felt reassured with Seth. He began telling how the proceedings would go, we discussed my end of the story letting him know I acted in self defense, even went over evidence material to the trial and showing the bodily harm I had. My side of the story was never told, no evidence discussed was ever submitted. I don’t know if this is a case of incompetence, being overworked or just a lack of care. Either way.. you get what you pay for.
