I was desperate when I contacted Koffel, Brininger, Nesbitt. My husband had just been sentenced to one year in prison for a Felony 4 assault after the judge threw out the plea bargain for probation. Imagine our shock!!. Once I pulled it together, I began searching for a new attorney. I contacted Koffel Brininger Nesbitt’s office on a Saturday and left a message. I didn’t expect to be called back until Monday. Much to my surprise, someone from his office called me ten minutes later. They stayed on the phone with me until I went through the whole spiel (I know I rattled on forever) but the person on the other end remained patient and so empathetic. This especially meant a lot to me because the people in the criminal justice system can be cold and dismissive. Not only did Brad Koffel come onto the scene like a superhero, he cleaned up my husband's last attorney's mess, and did it with grace. Obviously, it was too late to fix the damage done, but we moved forward with a plan to get him out. The ones who worked on my case were Brad Koffell, Rick Mahan, and Diane Davis. Such a down to earth and highly knowledgeable team. They were transparent and honest even when I didn’t want to hear what they had to say. I was always informed and someone always responded. I never felt ignored or insignificant. What became obvious to me is that the outcome of my husband’s case was equally important to them as it was to us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They deserve it. They worked hard for me. You absolutely must retain this firm if you are in a position that regrettably takes you through the criminal justice system. It is such a complex system to navigate without strong expertise leading your fight. I am grateful. Brad Koffel was able to get my husband's judicial release after multiple attempts, but he never gave up and I appreciate his dedication.
