Mr. Kaster has been involved in tire litigation for over 20 years. This involvement has included tire cases with all major domestic and many foreign manufacturers, including Firestone, Bridgestone, Michelin, Uniroyal, Goodyear, Kelly-Springfield, General Tire, Cooper Tire, Denman Tire, Pirelli-Armstrong, and Kumho. Mr. Kaster has widely lectured on tire failures and is nationally recognized as an authority on tire related accidents. He has been featured in The Wall Street Journal where he was characterized as the nation’s foremost authority on tires and their defects. He has also been quoted in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The St. Petersburg Times, The Associated Press, as well as many other newspapers. He has also participated in numerous radio interviews and has appeared on CNN, Dateline, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and Canadian Broadcasting.
Prior to Mr. Kaster’s campaign for safe tires, he handled many successful auto accidents, machine guarding and slip and fall accident cases. During this time period Mr. Kaster also branched off into defective products. This area included motor vehicles, heavy equipment, factory machinery, high power lines and power lawn mowers.
Mr. Kaster is past chair of the national Attorneys’ Information Exchange Group, Tire Section, and is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers where he served two terms on the Board of Directors. He has also served as the Academy’s liaison to the Office of the Governor. He is an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
