Katherine Reckman represented me in my divorce and she was very fair and steadfast through my proceedings. My ex husband chose very inept representative which derailed his case. In the end, he trusted Katherine to write up our agreement which he eventually signed. Divorce is ugly and stressful and in Colorado, you need someone who can negotiate with the other side to keep the cost down. Katherine did that and was able to do it with empathy. I highly recommend this firm, and Terri Harrington, specifically. This was the best decision I made during a very overwhelming divorce process. I hired Terri the week before my scheduled mediation, as the previous lawyer dropped the ball significantly and I had to fire him. Terri and her team were incredibly communicative (for example, I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a reply), empathetic, knowledgeable, and quick. Terri caught up on my case in just a few days, and she made me and my case a priority by responding to emails swiftly, walking me through the process and what to expect, and being clear on what was needed from me, and what their role was. I just recently referred Terri and team to another person, and would do it again and again.

I would not recommend working with this law firm. I hired Bailey Mahoney for my divorce case in 2019 and somehow right after I retained her, Emma Fletcher was assigned to my case. Emma was not up to speed on the case and didn't take actions on deadlines when she should have. From the very beginning of the case this firm was all about money. Looking back, I should have known by their approach, but it was a very stressful time in my life and I just wanted to get divorced. They racked up bills, did things that weren't required, and constantly charged against my retainer over and over again. They did not give a lot of detail on their bills and only gave 10 days for disputing any items (I've seen bills from other firms which were much more detailed). Not a lot of time for someone trying to be a parent, working and going through a divorce. The court required discovery documentation to be completed. I was lead to believe these were important documents that needed to be completed with great detail. This documentation was submitted to her paralegal, only come to find out that the final document to the court basically said N/A to all responses. Waste of time and money! At one point, I realized she was working directly with our realtor on something that was never discussed, nor was it necessary. Again, more charges and revenue for her firm. And instead of working/negotiating with the opposing attorney, she only flared things up with him over and over again. Another tactic attorneys use to rack up their bills! Bailey and I were trying to work towards a solution to see my divorce to completion. When I contacted her to work through a solution, she ignored me, and immediately took action to make ensure her firm would get paid. This was after I'd already spent a ridiculous amount of money with her firm. In the end, she and her firm received every dollar owed, warranted or not, and the result was only a parenting plan that isn't relevant today. I, at that point, had to hire a new attorney who was not familiar with the case and that person had to spend time getting up to speed on the case, to see it to the end. This firm is all about money, they don't care about their clients. They take advantage of people in a vulnerable position going through a divorce. I would not recommend working with Bailey or her firm.
