Mr. Chafin and the LA Heroes Scholarship offered my family a unique opportunity to recognize my daughter’s academic and civic accomplishments while also paying tribute to my work as a school counselor. Being awarded this scholarship allows for monetary relief and also an opportunity for my daughter to feel as though she was able to contribute to her education by having my work recognized. As a school counselor my school kids are “my kids” and Mr. Chafin allows the young people of our community to celebrate the very parents they share with the students in the schools their parents serve. #centenarybound
