Poor communication and not easy to deal with. I contacted this office for my elderly father because he wanted to update his will. I set up the initial consultation and the office was very helpful. I live out of state and requested a draft to review but they ignored my request, I called a second time and they refused to send it to me. My father made an appointment and signed the documents and paid, $1185.00. I again requested a copy to review, even though the document was already fully executed. It took days to receive a response but was told they needed my father's permission to send me a copy. My father called, gave them permission and was told they do not mail paper copies. I had requested an email, pdf. I cannot review the quality of the documents because I haven't seen them yet. Very disappointed, I have to drive 160 miles to get a copy. Would not recommend this office.

A breath of fresh air! Attorney Germani went the extra mile for me. After 2 other lawyers that did nothing with my social security case and a whole year wasted attorney Germani took over and produced fast results. His staff is outstanding. He stayed in contact with me throughout the case and let me know what to expect. At court he was totally prepared and i could tell the judge respected him. What impressed me most was that he called me 3 months after the case was won just to make sure i was doing ok and again about 6 months later to make sure everything was going smoothly. Very impressed! I would recommend him for social security cases and personal injury cases.

Germani & Germani law office has been in the business for years in the great City of Attleboro Massachusetts. Germani & Germani law office has helped me on a few cases in the past and helped me file my business LLC paperwork to the Secretary of State's Office in Boston Massachusetts. Each time I have been in their office I noticed that it's always clean and their secretary's are friendly. It's good to know that there's still an old school law office in the city that's up on the current laws and procedures. Great job to Germani & Germani law office and their Team. This business is great for our city and abroad. Mr. Patterson

AAL general personal injury Frequently Asked Questions

What is personal injury law?

Personal injury law encompasses legal remedies and defenses involved in civil lawsuits brought as a result of wrongful conduct. It covers situations where someone's negligence or intentional actions cause harm to another person. Personal injury law allows injured individuals to seek compensation for their losses, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. This area of law often involves cases such as car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and defective product injuries.

What is compensation for a personal injury claim?

Compensation for a personal injury claim typically includes monetary damages intended to compensate the injured party for their losses. This compensation can cover various aspects such as medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, lost wages or income, property damage, and pain and suffering. The goal is to provide financial relief to the injured person and help them recover from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of their injuries.

Is emotional distress a personal injury?

Emotional distress can be considered a personal injury under certain circumstances. In legal terms, emotional distress refers to the psychological impact of an injury or traumatic event, such as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). While it may not always involve physical harm, emotional distress can still be compensable in a personal injury claim if it can be linked to the defendant's actions or negligence.

What percentage do most personal injury lawyers take?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, which means they only get paid if they successfully recover compensation for their clients. Typically, personal injury lawyers take a percentage of the final settlement or court award as their fee. The percentage varies but commonly ranges from 33% to 40% of the total recovery. This arrangement allows injured individuals to pursue legal action without upfront costs and ensures that attorneys are motivated to achieve favorable outcomes for their clients.

How long does a personal injury lawsuit take?

The duration of a personal injury lawsuit can vary significantly depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the extent of the injuries, and the court's schedule. Some cases may be resolved through settlement negotiations relatively quickly, while others may take months or even years to reach a resolution, especially if they go to trial. Additionally, factors such as gathering evidence, conducting discovery, and waiting for medical treatment to conclude can influence the timeline of a personal injury lawsuit.

What is an example of a serious injury claim?

An example of a serious injury claim could involve catastrophic injuries that result in long-term or permanent disabilities, such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries leading to paralysis, severe burns, or limb amputations. These types of injuries often have significant and lasting effects on the victim's physical, emotional, and financial well-being, requiring extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing care. Serious injury claims typically seek substantial compensation to cover these extensive damages and provide for the victim's future needs.

What is compensation for a loss or injury?

Compensation for a loss or injury refers to the financial recovery awarded to an injured party in a legal proceeding. This compensation aims to restore the injured person to the position they were in before the injury occurred to the extent possible. It can include economic damages, such as medical expenses and lost wages, as well as non-economic damages for pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. The goal of compensation is to help the injured individual recover physically, emotionally, and financially from the consequences of their injury.

What is the highest personal injury settlement?

The highest personal injury settlement or verdict can vary greatly depending on the specific circumstances of the case, including the severity of the injuries, the extent of the damages, and the jurisdiction where the case is tried. Settlements and verdicts in personal injury cases have reached into the tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in some instances, particularly in cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, or wrongful death. However, there is no fixed limit on the amount of compensation that can be awarded in a personal injury case, as each case is evaluated based on its unique factors and the applicable laws and precedents.
