Sadly, this was a nightmare. I hate to leave this review, but I walked away feeling scammed. Below is a list of issues Ms. Garner demonstrated in just weeks of working with her. Communication issues: Ms Garner doesn't return calls, emails, portal messages promptly. I wasn't kept updated on the case and didn't explain things clearly. I felt like there was no plan and I was in the dark about my case. The only time Ms Garner responded quickly was when I sent her termination letter. Personality conflicts: Ms Garner opened meetings with a clash because of defensiveness, poor attitude, and lack of accountability which left me feeling uncomfortable voicing concerns or offering feedback. Lack of confidence in her abilities: Ms Garner demonstrated lack of confidence on my legal matter through averted eye contact, equivocal guidance, and uncertainty in language. She called the evidence of my abuse irrelevant which left me feeling that she did not have my best interests at heart. Unmet expectations: Ms Garner did not have a plan for my case and gave me no peace of mind at all that I was in good hands. Her entire approach felt entirely reactive, dependent on my directions, and reliant on me to do all the discovery on my own case. Excessive fees: Ms Garner frequently reminded me that she had other clients, other hearings, and didn't have time to respond to me quickly. I know attorney hours are expensive but we had three calls where half of each call was wasted bickering about expectations. I honestly walked away feeling that I was overcharged because I am not sure what was done that I could not have done myself. Perhaps she is overwhelmed and should take fewer cases to provide better service to clients. This is the epitome of paying a large amount for a service and feeling like you got nothing.

I reached out regarding basic estate planning for my husband and I as we recently got married. Specifically, I was looking for either a general price range up front or alternatively for a 15-minute free consultation to go over it. Either of which has been offered by the dozen other firms I reached out to. I was told I had to pay for a $300/consult during which time I would be quoted, I would not be quoted before. This is not a standard industry practice and I immediately declined the consult.

So, to fully understand what you are embarking on in the adoption process you have to meet Ms. Garner. She will fight for you, and your family. She will also stand her ground against the norm and bureaucracy of the broken down foster care system. Ms. Garner Thank you for making this possible after five years, four months of waiting and for pushing Prince George DHS to do their job and file the paperwork for our baby to stay in his forever home. We are grateful for your hard work.

Ms. Garner was one of the best, thorough attorneys that I have had the pleasure of working with. She truly represented me in a professional way, listened to my concerns from day one and worked to ensure that my case was represented properly. She didn't let any challenges sway her from always being professional. My family and I appreciate her efforts on this case. I would definitely retain her again if the need should arise. She is definitely top-notch! Thank you again!

The consultation was very helpful. Ms Garner went above and beyond is assisting me with all my questions treating me with much respect and dignity. She took her time to make sure I understood what she was explaining. I was very pleased with her professionality in handling my case. I would recommend he service highly.
