Clients Beware! After paying a $10k fee upfront and promised to keep me out of jail Edward Kone send me a letter to drop me as his client (less than a month away from my court date) and keep the money all within 4months. He is very dismissive when asked questions about your case, after hearings or court dates he does not share the information of what transpired sometimes until weeks or months later! I’ve worked with multiple attorneys in the past never have I met someone so short tempered, unprofessional, and not willing to do what they were already paid for. If you are looking for a fighter he is not it, just another paper pusher who thinks he can just file motions and take pleas and receive a favorable outcome which he does not in the end. He has fallen very short on all of his verbal promises. Get everything in writing from this manipulative attorney he likes to avoid that to keep up his mistruths. I highly suggest not obtaining Edward or his firm as counsel for any criminal defense charges very very weak! 0Stars if possible.

Took a $10k retainer from a friend tried to drop him as client couple months later! Shady business practices. Mr. Kone left a response to the above referenced review, in which he stated "I believe the comments [referenced] in this review are false. In my personal subjective opinion, Mr. Kone prefaced his response with the phrase "I believe" because he knows that had he omitted those two words, he would be liable in a potential defamation claim. In the aforementioned review, I simply stated that he "[t]ook a $10k retainer from a friend and tried to drop him as a client couple months later . . . . This was not an unsubstantiated allegation out of thin-air, but rather a recitation of a fact that occurred in their respective relationship. I never discussed the particular circumstances that surrounded their relationship, but rather recited a verifiable fact. There is documentary evidence and text messages which establish the facts stated herein. This is what unscrupulous attorneys do; they carefully preface and construct words to avoid accountability and obfuscate the true nature of their conduct.
