David Baker is an excellent lawyer who has an extensive background in reading and understand contracts. I was purchasing a new construction house and I didn't understand the extensive contract that was provided by the builder. David was able to breakdown the contract in simple terms so I can understand what I was obligated to if I signed the contract. After going through the contract, we found that the contract was written to protect the builder and not me the buyer. In addition, the contract was written to allow the builder to keep my deposit no matter what occurred in buying process which was not fair to me the buyer. If you are purchasing a new house, I highly recommended hiring David to review the contract before you sign it. The house builders today are only interested in making a profit, which include keeping your deposit when they are at fault in the transaction.
