I met Jake Cowdin through a friend when I was fearing going to mediation with my ex-husband. I don't know much about the law and I was worried about being prepared for the mediation. As soon as I met Jake, he was so calm and confident. I could feel my anxiety go away. He is so knowledgeable about the law. Every question I asked he was ready to answer with the law to back me up. He was quick to reply to emails or phone calls. I knew he was someone that I could trust and who would go into mediation to help me out. I felt very much prepared for mediation before it happened. He set out a plan and we were able to work well together. I didn't worry at all once we were in mediation. Jake knew what he was talking about and he proved it with the law. I recommend Jake as a lawyer because he has put in the work to study and understand the law. He is like a good friend who has your back and doesn't let anyone take advantage of you. His whole office staff was very professional and friendly as well. I never like legal disputes but I know I'd rather have a professional like Jake on my side handling those issues with me.

This firm put a lien on my house to collect payment from my ex's half of the equity for representing her. One of the partners personally insulted me when I got annoyed that they couldn't seem to figure out what paperwork the bank wanted in order to get them paid. It only took a few minutes for me to google it for them. Since they have decided to refute my claims, I've added a screenshot of the attorney's email. The only reason they appear to have for calling this case a success is that they took about a third of the money my ex got from the house. I got full physical custody of my son, started receiving child support, and pay my ex less alimony than I did before Mr. Gatewood began working on her case. So please, if CPS issues a finding of neglect against you, hire these guys like my ex did. They will probably make sure your kid is where they need to be.

Jake Cowdin was amazing. He is smart and knows the law inside and out. He kept me updated on my divorce every step of the way. He made sure to be honest with what I should expect and what i deserved. He made sure that i got everything i wanted and that it was fair and in my favor. I hope to never have to use him again.
