Marisabel Cabrera, born December 12, 1975, is an American politician and lawyer. She represents the south side in Milwaukee at the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Cabrera was born and raised in Milwaukee's southside. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School, in 1993. Her bachelor's degree was in Spanish and Latin American Iberian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also earned her J.D. In 2002, she graduated from Michigan State University College of Law. She was admitted to the state bars in Wisconsin and Florida and worked as an immigration lawyer in private practice and for the non-profit Voces de la Frontera ("Voices from the Border") She was the former chair of both the Milwaukee Police and Fire Commission and Democratic Party of Wisconsin Latino Caucus. The 2016 Rising Star Award was presented by the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County to her for her work with Latino Caucus.
