Steven Broussard has always been a man of the people and for the people. He’s served the public in many ways—first as a member of the Navy, next as a lawyer, and then as a judge. All this before making it to his mid-30s.
The story of his rise to judgeship is an interesting one. He beat a 30-year incumbent for the seat in Sulphur, Louisiana by walking nearly the entire city door-to-door to meet the voters. He introduced himself and made genuine connections. His dedication to the people and the law won him the seat, and he served as a judge for 18 years, during which time he also continued to practice law.
After retiring from his special judgeship in 2002, Steven returned to practicing law full time. He focuses now—as he always has—on justice and accountability, making sure that legal proceedings are fair and corporations take responsibility for their actions. He strives to ensure clients receive due justice and the appropriate compensation for their losses, no matter what it takes.
In every case, Steven calls on his decades of practicing law, his unique perspective as a former judge, and his own experience as someone who’s suffered a life-altering injury to passionately tackle the toughest of cases—even those that seasoned attorneys sometimes decline. Where his peers see an uphill battle, Steven sees a welcome challenge.
