If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with this firm was absolutely terrible. I hired them for a restraining order case against my abuser, expecting competent legal representation. Instead, I was repeatedly ignored, overcharged, and misled throughout the entire process. 1. They charged me for work I did myself. I was billed 1.4 hours of attorney time for a document that I personally wrote. All they did was copy and paste it onto their letterhead and charge me as if they had drafted it. When I questioned the charge, I was ignored. 2. Paralegals handled critical legal work instead of attorneys, and it showed. My testimony was so poorly prepared that I had to submit two supplemental declarations just to correct their mistakes. This was not an isolated incident—multiple times, work that should have been done by an attorney was pushed onto a paralegal with no proper oversight, yet I was billed attorney rates for it. 3. They told me to negotiate directly with my abuser to ‘save money’ instead of doing their job. The settlement sat in their inbox for over a week with no response. When I followed their advice and worked out an agreement with my abuser, they forced me to sign a release dropping them as my attorneys. Then, they called me “bizarre and strange” for doing exactly what they told me to do. 4. They abandoned me 10 days before trial. After I had already paid over $25,000 in just four months, they demanded another $10,000 and dropped me when I couldn’t pay. They left me completely unrepresented right before a critical court date. 5. They used manipulative language to pressure me into paying. They sent an email stating that multiple staff members were working on my case ‘to ensure my family’s safety’ while demanding more money. When I asked what exactly that meant, I was ignored. 6. Repeatedly ignored when questioning billing and unethical practices. • When I questioned why they padded my bill with unnecessary charges, I was ignored. • When I asked for clarification on the “keeping my family safe” payment demand, I was ignored. • When I asked about double charges for the same work, I was ignored. This was the most unprofessional and unethical legal experience I have ever had. If you are looking for an attorney who will actually advocate for you and not just drain your bank account, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
