This lawyer will not respond to emails in a timely manner. When he does, it will be short and not very personable. He “worked” for me for three years awaiting a disability claim. During the final prep appointment, he said we were probably not going to win. Not because of me, but because of my medical team. He spent three years not even paying attention to anything with my case until hours before the hearing. He spends more time defending himself on google reviews, paying money for billboards, and I will add the secretary he has had in his office is unbelievably unprofessional. He will mock you, he will smirk at you, and he will make you feel lesser than. I had to turn down my hearing since he said he wasn’t confident with winning. I regret sticking with a random lawyer I sought out on Google. Edited to add: He actually said that “he could fight it, he could do it” after he told me he was not confident in my winning of the case. That’s when I made the decision to withdraw from the hearing. Andrew did not tell me to do so. He kept insisting he could win. I had zero confidence in him.

I obtained Mr. Burrell as my attorney 4 years ago to assist me in a lawsuit against an establishment. After meeting with him and signing a contract, he assured me that if needed he would take the establishment to court. After speaking with him a few more times on the phone I was continuously assured that everything was looking good. Later it was implied that the establishment's insurance broker "took the money and ran," and that Mr. Burrell wasn't going to "investigate that." Nearly 3 years later I still have not had any resolve with my case. When calling to request action and updates on my case I was met with his increased frustration and limited availability, sometimes with him abruptly ending our phone calls. Eventually he did set me up with a deposition. I then requested to either have the establishment taken to court or at the very least have them served with a deposition, both of which were refused contradicting what I was told at the outset my retaining of his services. After much back and forth I was pressured to accept a menial settlement nowhere close to balancing out the expense of the mandatory major surgery that was a result of the initial lawsuit. When I questioned and protested the amount, it was implied that if I chose to not accept the settlement a lien nearly three times the amount of the proposed settlement would be put on my case and that it would be nearly impossible for me to find legal assistance elsewhere. I feel its unfortunate that the situation has come to this point and I feel that as a consumer it is my responsibility to just truthfully share the experience I had with Mr. Burrell and his staff. edited to follow up. Mr. Burrell took my case and wasn't very receptive to my concerns nor was he efficient in handling my case work. When seeking out legal representation, I feel that it is imperative that trust, communication, and mutual respect exist between client and counsel. After working with Mr. Burrell I do not feel that I was afforded any of these and I do believe that because of the breakdown in communication and timely attention to my case, it directly impacted my case. Thankfully a jury of my peers agreed with me and the negative implications of my case with Mr. Burrell was thrown out. Im very grateful that the judge and jury were able to see what was transpiring . I urge you to read all reviews before making a decision to hire legal counsel. Recognize when they are legit reviews by actual customers and former clientele and recognize when they are from friends and family members. While I cannot speak for anyone else, I can say that for me, choosing this legal representation has been one of the poorest decisions of my professional life. I am deeply concerned to learn that currently another person is in a very similar situation with Mr. Burrell and its very disheartening to see that the issues with my case do not seem to be isolated events. Again I encourage everyone to research your choice of legal counsel before signing any contracts. Please Please Please pay attention to google reviews. They may very well save you a ton of financial and emotional hardship in the long run.

Andrew got a full settlement for me and my passenger however there was less insurance by the at fault driver than what my total bills added up to. He worked with the medicals to get a compromise on the billing and still managed to have some for my pocket. After that he asked for permission to request a settlement for underinsured motorist from my company and told me he felt he could get that. I had never heard of that and thought it would issues with my insurance company but he gave me assurances and I agreed. Well lo and behold he got that accomplished as well!! He was factual and efficient and I am more than pleased. When all is said and done I'd rather have a great lawyer than a lawyer that's trying to be overly friendly, although he is very nice. Hopefully nobody else will ram into my car again but if so I'll be calling Andrew again...no question!!!
