A "DT" class of admission on an I-94 form indicates that the individual was granted humanitarian parole into the United States. The class of admission does affect immigration status in the US. it also affects how long you’re able to stay. For example, students can only stay for the duration of their schooling, and if you’re on a work visa and get let go, you have a limited amount of time to procure another job otherwise you’re forced to go back home. When it comes to DT, your immigration document will say how long you have until the parole expires.
