Allodial title is the ownership of property without any kind of superior landlord. This includes land and buildings. In the United States, all land is subject to taxes and eminent domain by the government, so it is not possible to get an allodial title. Some states do have allodial title land provisions in their constitution, but since all land is still subject to taxes and the possibility of imminent domain, they are not true allodial titles.
