Hampton is a city situated in Franklin County, Iowa's agricultural region. Situated along the Iowa River and surrounded by lush farmland and rolling hills, Hampton serves as the county seat of Franklin County and boasts several historic buildings and landmarks such as the Franklin County Courthouse which was constructed in 1896 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
