Vevay is famous for its annual Swiss Wine Festival, held in August to commemorate the region's vibrant winemaking heritage. This three-day event includes wine tastings, live music performances and cultural activities like parades, grape stomping contests and fireworks displays - all taking place under one roof!
Over the years, Vevay has been home to some illustrious figures. One of the most renowned is Paul O. Husting, a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin born there in 1866 who served in the Senate from 1915 until 1917 and is remembered for his progressive political views.
