At 6:15 PM on March 28, 2000, a tornado whipped through downtown Fort Worth, causing extensive damage to many buildings. One of the most damaged structures was the Bank One Tower. It was a prominent feature of Fort Worth's skyline. Reata, a popular eatery, was on the top floor. Since then, it has been transformed into upscale condominiums and renamed "The Tower". This was Fort Worth's first major tornado since the 1940s.
