Oskaloosa is a city located in Mahaska County in south-central Iowa. The city is known for its charming downtown area, which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Oskaloosa is also home to William Penn University, a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1873. The university is known for its strong programs in business, education, and nursing.

One interesting fact about Oskaloosa is that it is the birthplace of George Daily, who founded the Daily Bros. Circus in 1899.
