I hired Mr. Seigenfeld (Rick) as I had a time sensitive matter involving a post divorce judgment QDRO, that had yet to be resolved over the previous 5 years, since the divorce judgement. What should have been a simple matter to resolve, quickly became a very complicated and frustrating situation. Coming into this situation after a 30 year law enforcement career, as well as this situation's previous divorce proceedings, I can confidently state that I am writing this review objectively after having years of professional and personal experience with many attorneys in the criminal, family law and civil arenas. From my initial consultation through the end of the process, Rick and his staff were extremely helpful, and VERY patient during what was a very frustrating situation for me. From a personal perspective, when ever I had a question or didn't understand something, Rick, himself was always very accessible to answer my questions or ease my frustrations in a personable way. As were all of his staff. From a professional perspective, I couldn't have asked for more. Rick is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to his areas of practice. More importantly, If there is a unique situation he has not previously experienced, or is not expertly versed in, rest assured he will advise you of such and seek out more information from an expert in said area before moving on. This aspect gave me great confidence in Rick, as this is what a knowledgeable, professional does! What he won't do is BS you and pretend to know something he doesn't, in order to hastily triage your matter and keep it moving down the conveyer belt of cases as so many do. Also under the heading of "Professionalism", Rick is very level headed and strategically focused on the "long game" of his client's individual situations. Unlike many, he is not going take your money then immediately portray himself as your personal attack dog for hire, telling you what you want to hear, while parroting your personal distain for the opposition without objectively looking out for your best interests. Trust me, you don't need a subjective "best friend" in a situation like this, you need a knowledgeable, objective strategist that has your best long term interests in mind. This was exactly who Rick was in handling my matter. Lastly, from a business perspective, Seige Law could not have been anymore professional. All fees were reasonable and clearly explained up front, all documents were professionally drafted and expeditiously filed, and billing statements were sent out each and every month, clearly stating all charges and balances.
