Paul Matthews handled my divorce. It was uncontested and went smoothly, so I hired him again 2 yrs later when my ex-wife tried to get full custody of our Daughter. My wife's lawyer tried unsuccessfully, to get a restraining order and have my Daughter removed from the home she lived in with me 5 days a week. I highly recommend Paul. First, he took my call directly and immediately. He listened to my case without asking for anything when I didn’t really know anything about family law or the court. Other lawyers would quote me a retainer or a consultation fee with no explanation of what could or would be done, all they wanted was an initial payment. With Paul, the initial phone call felt like he was as much trying to see if he was interested in my case as I was trying to figure out if I was interested in hiring him. This is something you want, someone who wants to take your case, not your money. Paul was clear and explained what a retainer is (prepaid lump of hours of his time), and he’s one of the few who will return the part of the retainer that isn’t used if the case ends up being solved faster than anticipated, which is something I had never heard of. Mr. Matthews stands up for fathers! The ex-wife of a friend of mine was preventing him from having visitation with his children and making all kinds of outlandish accusations that he had abused her, the kids, etc. Mr. Matthews was able to show the judge she was being untruthful, the father received his visitation back and it all went so well that the kids left her and are now living happily with him! If that isn't a complete success, I don't know what is. And it would not have been possible without the great work of Mr. Matthews. :)
