Due to a letter I received in the mail stating that my judge had recused herself my from my case due to being friends with the "victim", I realized that I had a violation of probation that was administered through my probation office by the alleged victim for "third party contact" and for supposedly contacting him through a fake facebook account. I called a few lawyers but as soon as I contacted Mr. Mcguire I knew he clearly understood my case and that there was no violation. He attempted to get this squashed prior to me turning myself in but no one from the state attorney's office would bother to look at the case and/or respond to his countless attempts to contact them. I finally was forced to turn myself in on the warrant. Mr. Mcguire went above and beyond to contact the Judge's clerk and the prosecutor to get a hearing for dismissal based on lack of evidence. When we went before the judge he stated that he had never dismissed a VOP prior to a VOP hearing. Mr. Mcguire used legal ease that was outside my comprehension but got the judge to listen to his argument. The judge called both attorneys to his stand and they argued legal facts and Mr. Mcguire returned to the podium and the judge said he had no choice but to dismiss the case bc the state had not done their due diligence to investigate this case prior to trying to convict me. This was a huge precedent for VOP cases and I hope Mr. Mcguire is recognized for a job well done! I was released from jail that day and the prosecution had a chance to refile the charges if they had proof and they declined to do so. If you are ever in a predicament where your freedom or rights are at risk, you should call Tom. This was a huge win after years of being harassed and dragged through the legal system by a hostile person. His relationship to people in the system caused many of my legal woes and Tom broke the cycle. Thank you so much! KRP

My cousin and I had the best legal experience with Thomas McGuire. My cousin had an emergency situation with a VP charge and was sent to jail. I live out of town, so another attorney referred Mr. McGuire. I left a message and within 10 min., Mr. Guire called and by the end of the day, he was arranging to bring the court date from a 1.5 months to a week. He visited my cousin the next morning and kept us updated throughout the journey to the court date. He was early to court and transparent with us the entire journey of this horrific event. He was able to take care of VP charge. This man is a genuine person and he makes you feel that you are his only client. If he was a doctor, this action would be called an excellent bedside manner. He was very honest and truthful with good or bad news. He comforted us in a serious situation and lived by what he said he was going to do. As stressful as this situation was, we felt "grace"....he was the reason.
