This was my first time ever meeting with a lawyer. I didn't know what to expect, but this was a great experience. They helped me navigate a reporter contract I had signed (and wanted to get out of), and laid out all of my options. Totally helped me feel empowered because I knew what my rights were, and I was able to get out of my contract. 10/10 recommend.

Save yourself and your money and *do not* give this firm, specifically Boyd Hawkins, your business. After I thoroughly explained the situation to the rather kind intake woman at their firm, Boyd took my consultation appointment at his rate of $150 per hour. Unfortunately, he clearly didn’t listen to a word I said during it, he kept going off long-winded tangents about matters that I was not there to discuss and I had to repeatedly ask him to stay on the actual topic. I cut the meeting as soon as it was glaringly apparent that I couldn’t trust him to represent me in this legal matter. He wasted over $100 hard earned dollars and even worse, MY TIME. *Edit regarding response from the owner - My full legal name differs from the name used on this Gmail account. While I will not post my full legal name on this public forum, my meeting with Boyd Hawkins was on 11/26/2024 at 11 AM.
