My name is Patrick, and I was heading home from work on the night of July 9, 2021, when life as I knew it turned up-side down. I was second in line at a stop light and proceeded to pull into the intersection when I was T-boned by an under-aged, intoxicated driver. As I looked to the left, all I saw where bright lights. I was taken to the hospital via ambulance, only to finally lay in the emergency room of a trauma hospital due to the extent of my injuries. My neck was broken, I was experiencing an internal bleed within my chest cavity, and I had 3 broken ribs, as well as, multiple large contusions covering my body, specifically my left hip and right knee. These injuries kept me out of work and required around the clock assistance just to perform the simplest but necessary daily tasks.
