Was opposing counsel for my now ex-wife, so… take with as many grains of salt as you’d like. Two things are relevant if you’re interested in hiring this firm. First, they LOVE to bill. For example, they put me through a four hour deposition (the legal maximum in Arizona) and they subpoenaed all of my communications with my accountant, ever. You might think this means they “fight” and “look out for their client’s best interests,” but… four hour depositions for low net worth cases are bizarre and my accountant hadn’t seen a subpoena like this in over 20 years of practice. More to the point, nothing discovered either during the deposition or from my accountant was remotely relevant to the case. It was a fishing expedition, a waste of God only knows how much money. Similarly, communications that could have been handled without attorneys or through an informal exchange of emails came through frequently, often with elaborately drafted – and I can only assume, VERY expensive – letters attached. The extravagant and unnecessary communications stopped when my attorney informed Hallier-Stearns that we had been compiling a file of unreasonable litigation in advance of seeking attorneys fees at trial. The end result of all of this “Cadillac” legal activity? My ex-wife got precisely NOTHING she was fighting for. What she was asking for was patently unreasonable, there was zero percent chance at any point she was going to get sole custody or any of her other wild asks. A good attorney would have told her this. In fact, she fired a lawyer for telling her this two years ago, then went shopping for an attorney who told her what she wanted to hear. Two years, tons of money spent, she got absolutely nothing she was after. Not a single thing. The other thing you should know, particularly given Angela Hallier’s “pound of flesh” comment referenced by another reviewer is that she asked me, during the four hour deposition, if I was comfortable with my child being around my girlfriend because my girlfriend is Jewish. A picture certainly begins to form of who might be uncomfortable around Jews, and it’s not me.

I’ve known Angela Hallier and Andrea Lawrence for many years. I find them to be ethical, professional and caring attorneys. They go above and beyond to make sure their employees are always up to date with latest technology, court procedures and family court rules in order to better serve their clients. Additionally, Angela Hallier is very generous with her time and money as she often donates to local charities and participates in their events. I highly recommend Angela Hallier and her firm, Hallier Lawrence, PLC.

Angela Hallier represented me in a divorce case, however when her associate attorney moved out of state, she just ignored the case and let the opposing party clobber us. The associate attorneys handle the bulk of the work, so once that happened she just rolled over and took the path of least resistance to let the other party take over. The correct course of action would be to either catch up on the case, then represent me as an advocate, refund the money as the case was not finished, or appoint another associate attorney to handle the case after they get caught up on the details. She did none of the above. Angie is the owner of the firm, so even if she just relies on her associates, she should make sure things are appropriately delegated. She is very interested in deep pockets, and keeping up her appearance, but not interested in putting forth the effort to advocate for her clients. Very disappointed in this poor performance and level of caring for her clients. Pros: Will give a sense of professionalism when she first meets you. Very good at wooing you at first. Very good at deflecting questions or concerns from clients. Cons: Will get very defensive if you catch her in a mistake. Her facade will fade quickly once she is responsible for responding to the case, keeping up with details, very difficult to reach, uninterested in clients concerns. Has very little oversight into what is happening in the form, despite being the owner.

I’ve had Angela Hallier represent me in my child custody case and she went above and beyond for me and my children. I won full custody and she changed my children’s life for the better and I couldn’t be more grateful to her. The amount of hard work and love she put into this case and my family is unprecedented and I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful person to represent my families well being.

Used this in my Divorce, was milked for as much as they could get, didn't end well, not only did I feel wrongly done, but was then sued by them for more.
