I bought one of the first Tundras, a 2000. 2 weeks new it refused to start. CD player could play only one disc before getting hot and skipping.Got mad and let 2 CD's play while skipping and unit started smoking.Faceplate was too hot to touch. Steering locked up at 1 month new twice. 2 months new brakes shook vehicle so bad I was afraid to drive it. Its almost impossible to get tires to not shake at highway speed. I get them road forced balanced and still have shake. Tried goodyear, goodrich, michelin, kumho, dunlop. The best is Michelin. Many owners have had problems with these trucks.Toyota treats you like an idiot when you complain. The dealers seem to be instructed to tell you they see or hear nothing wrong. At some point I gave up complaining.Even their corporate office would shine me on.Since I bought my truck in Illinois and now live in Tennessee, I bet they wont replace the tire holder.Maybe a few lawsuits is what they need. I am not a Toyota hater. This is my 6th toyota.I have noticed Toyota's quality is getting worse every year.
