1.6 Million Little Tikes Workshop Sets and Trucks Recalled due to Choking Hazard
About 1.6 million Little Tikes Workshops Sets and Trucks are being recalled today because children may choke on plastic nails contained in the sets.
Little Tikes of Hudson, Ohio, which makes the play sets, has received a report of an 11-month-old South Carolina boy who choked when one of the toy nails became stuck in his throat. The child was hospitalized, but he has since made a full recovery, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The toy nail at issue in the recall is about 3 ½ inches long and 1 ¼ inches in diameter. It has a large round head and was included in several Little Tikes brand children’s products.
